'Bentleys on Brindabella' is our new custom design display home situated on Bluewater canal estate, Trinity Park Cairns. This modern new balay tropical home has been purpose built to showcase the best of Far North Queensland living and what can be achieved with the help of team Bentley.

The concept evolved following a family trip to Bali and through inspiration received from Balinese architecture and some help from Matt from Balay designs, the plans were conceived. We wanted to showcase tropical living with good airflow, the ability to be open having internal areas flow into external areas seamlessly.

• Walking through entry gates using keypad access, timber boardwalks over large freshwater ponds internally which link the series of Bali inspired pavilions.
• Tropical gardens fill all the remaining undeveloped land, breaching into ponds and pedestrian areas.
• A 12 x 5 pool canal side is surrounded by a large outdoor entertaining area and timber viewing deck with multiple options for outdoor living.
• Beefeater BBQ layer over glass front bar fridges contribute to this one being a real entertainer.
• High raked ceilings cover main pavilion which consists of lounge, dinning, gourmet kitchen and internal atrium garden which again breaches into internal living space.
• 30mm travertine slabs cantilever over water areas, giving a feel of walking on floating stepping stones. A bridge linking living areas to master bed/EnSite add to this semi aquatic feel.
• Construction comes from a combination of modern building practices including timber veneer and concrete block construction with posts and feature structure walls clad in split face stone contributing to earthy feel with help and warmth from New England oak internal timber floors, complemented by travertine stone over all wet area and concrete patios floors.
• Being environmentally conscious led to the installation of A 5kw solar system, LED lighting throughout and using of sustainable building products.
• 3-meter-high ceilings follow suit in office and bedroom pavilion containing three bedrooms, laundry bathroom and toilet which backs onto 3 car garage at the front of the property.
